With the theme, 'Smart Land Service, Smart Citizens, the week-long 'Land Service Week-2024' was inaugurated in Satkhira on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner of Satkhira Mohammad Humayun Kabir as the chief guest inaugurated the service week at Zila Shilpakala Academy Chattar at 10:00am. The programme was organised by district administration of Satkhira.
Later, a discussion was held at Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. Additional District Magistrate Bishnupad Paul presided over the meeting where DC of Satkhira Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Principal of Satkhira Government College Amanullah Al Hadi, Additional Police Superintendent Aminur Rahman and others spoke at the discussion.
Satkhira DC Mohammad Humayun Kabir said any land-related services will be available in the district at the stall of the service week. The smart land service has been started to prevent the middlemen. Any kind of land-related problem will be solved within these seven days.
Prizes were distributed to the winner students of a quiz competition.
Earlier, a video was screened to create awareness among the people of all walks. The land service week started on June 8 and will continue until June 14.
