Land management system digitalised fully

Land Secretary Md Mostafizur Rahman on Monday said that the country’s 100 percent land management system has already been digitalised.

“Country’s marginal people are now getting facilities from the digitalization of the land management. The government will collect taxes through the digitalization system within few months after completion of all other preparations,” he said this while addressing a workshop on land services at the conference room of the deputy commissioner (DC) as chief guest.   

The Land Secretary said, the government has been working tirelessly to provide services to the people doorsteps through various means including digitization.

 “Citizen will get land services staying at their residences through this system and they would not need to go to the land office physically,” he said adding that the land related corruption will totally be removed by this system.

A total of 15 days will require getting‘E-Namjari’ mitigation in Khulna division, he said, adding that everybody should work for curbing crimes and corruption from the country.

He also said that the authorities concerned must inform the stakeholders the causes of cancelling the ‘Namjari’ application.

The Khulna division has already been achieved 100 percent success to sent ‘E-Porcha’ through post mail to the applicants, he said adding that the other areas should follow the system of Khulna to achieve the goal.

The secretary, however, said all services including land acquisitions, Jalmahal system and E-mutation of the land ministry were brought under automation system.

‘Mobile APPS Barta’, for the officers concerned who are involved under the land management system will be launched soon, he added.

With the cooperation of the Ministry of Land and Land Reforms Board, Administration of Khulna Division organized the workshop.

Chairman of the Land Reform Board Soleman Khan and member Sashanka Shekhar Bhoumik addressed the workshop as the special guests with Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Khulna Md Shahedul Islam chaired the workshop.

Among others, Project Director of Land Management Automation Project Mozaffar Ahmed and DC-Khulna Md Moniruzzaman Talukder addressed the meeting.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue), Upazila Nirbahi Officers and Assistant Commissioners (Land) of Khulna Division attended the workshop.
