Mentioning that the payment gateways are very effective and secure platform for making monetary transactions reliable, the minister directed the officials concerned to be more prompt in reclaiming government land. The minister said that the law is being prepared to prosecute illegal possession of government land under criminal procedure.

"Due to corruption, we could not reach our rightful place, the minister said while urging all to work together to build a corruption-free Bangladesh." The minister appreciated the officers who are working to enhance the land services at their initiative and encouraged others to do the same. Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners (Revenue), Union Nirbahi Officers, Assistant Commissioners (Land), Kanungos, Surveyors, Office Assistants, and Union Land Assistant Officers are the participants at the workshop. Officers from Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, and Tangail were present at wednesday’s second day of the workshop.

Earlier, three officials of different ranks shared their experiences and thoughts at the workshop in front of the Land Minister. Divisional Commissioner, Md Jaynul Bari, presided over the event while Additional Divisional Commissioner Md Selim Reza, Local Government Director M. Idris Siddiqui and a2i Project Director Dr. Md Abdul Mannan were present.

The objective of the refresher workshop is to discuss and consult with expert resource persons on the problems they face while working at the field level, as well as to try to solve problems through mutual interaction amongst participants. The ‘e-Mutation System’ is essentially a part of the national land-information and services online platform called 'Zami'.
