You have to evidently stop at the place. You cannot but be surprised to see the splendid view of nature. It seems to you that you stand at the mangrove forest of the Sundarbans in your subconscious mind because the place is adorned amazingly with Sundari trees of the Sundarbans.

Nature has not kept any deficiency in efforts to wrap the area with greenery and there is a vast waterway in the midst of this greenery. Its imposing environment occasionally punctuated by the chirping of birds and draws you from places near and far.

No, this is not the Sundarbans, it is in fact the lake of Khulna University (KU) of which right and left sides are adorned by the trees. The water seems to you as Poshur river of the Sundarbans.

Walking through the main entrance one can see the lake, which is called mini Sundarbans by the students of KU.

If you want to spend a great afternoon, you have to go to the lake. Here nature plays with its own mind.

Almost all the trees survived which were implanted in the south side of the lake in 2003 and they were growing up gradually. Since then these trees have been growing  up unimpededly around the lake for the last 15 years and have retained the look of the Sundarbans.

Samia Ferdous Irish, student of Business Administration discipline of KU said, the lake represents the natural beauty of our campus. Everyday beside us, many outsiders come here to enjoy the beauty of the lake. The university authorities are working for enhancing the beauty of the lake.
