Kushtia man dies with coronavirus symptom

A suspected Coronavirus infected patient suffering from cold, cough and breathing problems died at Kushtia General Hospital on Monday morning. 

The deceased person(40), an easy bike driver by profession, used to live at a rented house at Chourhas area of Kushtia. He had been suffering from severe cold, cough and breathing problems for the last three days. When her condition deteriorated, family members took him to the Emergency ward of Kushtia General Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead. 

Following his death in suspected Coronavirus attack, seven staff of the hospital including two doctors have been sent to quarantine and 8-10 houses surrounding the house of the deceased have been put under lock up and movement of people surrounding the area has been restricted. 

H.M.Anowarul Islam, Civil Surgeon of Kushtia informed, the patient had been suffering from cold, cough and suffocation for the last three days and he died before being taken to the hospital. Primarily, it is assumed, the death is linked to Coronavirus. The sample of the saliva and blood of the deceased is being collected to send it to Dhaka for test and the dead body will be buried by following the rules of IEDCR.  

Tapos Kumar Sarker, Resident Medical Officer of Kushtia General Hospital informed, the patient was brought to the Emergency ward of the hospital around 7-00 am on Monday when the attending doctors declared him dead.
