Kulsum wants to treat Covid-19 patients voluntarily

A female diploma Health Assistant of Thakurgaon has expressed her interest to voluntarily treat the Coronavirus infected patients.

According to sources, Umme Kulsum Moni, daughter of later Mosharaul Islam of Bothpaligaon village under Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district, has completed her three-year term Diploma in Medical Assistantship from Prime Medical College in Rangpur and a one year of internship from Thakugaon Adhunik Sadar Hospital.  

On Thursday, Kulum Moni submitted a written application to the Civil Surgaon of  Thakurgaon expressing her interest to treat and assist voluntarily the patients infected with Coronavirus.

In the application Kulsum Moni said, while Cornavirus is spreading as pandemic throughout the globe and various places in the country, she would feel herself grateful if she was given a chance to treat those patients who are being stigmatized and out-casted by  the people.

Dr. Mahfuzr Rahman Sarker, Civil Surgeon of Thakurgaon informed there was no shortages to treat Corona patient in the district but if there is any shortages in near future, Kulsum Moni may be informed to add a hand.

It is learnt, Umme Kulsum Moni donated Taka 25,000 which she kept preserved for searching jobs and purchasing of pay-order and transport fare, to the fund of Prime Minister’s Relief fund on April-29.
