Umme Kulsum Moni, a Medical Assistant working under contractual basis at a local NGO in Thakurgaon, wants to serve the Coronavirus infected patients elsewhere (in any hospital) in the country voluntarily.

The 26-year old Kulsum also handed over her hard earned Taka 25,000, which she preserved for years to use that for the purpose of searching jobs and job applications, to the fund of the Prime Minister for assisting the Coronavirus patients through the Deputy Commissioner of Thakurgaon on Thursday morning.

Poorest of the poor Kulsum is the daughter of late Mosharul Islam and Rehana Begum of village Bothpaligaon under Pirganj Municipality of the district. She lives at a tattered house with her mother and the minor brother.

After receiving the money, Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.M. Kamruzzaman Selim said, by donating the hard earned money which the orphan daughter Kulsum( Moni) saved for last 25-months to use that for searching job is surely an example to be followed by every one.

In this connection, Umme Kulsum Moni said, most people of the country are now helpless and unemployed. Due to Coronavirus epidemic, they were spending their days in utter misery. To be a part to

serve those helpless people and to serve the suffering humanity, she handed over all the money she saved for purchasing pay-orders for job applications and for attending job interviews to the Prime Minister's fund.

She further said, she has passed the Medical Assistant Course and received the registration from the BMDC and now she has been working with a non-government organisation under contractural basis. She further said, she wishes to work voluntarily in any hospital to treat and serve the Coronavirus infected patients. While most of the doctors of the country were reluctant and feel panicky to work with and give treatment to Corona infected patients, she said, she is determined to treat those for the greater sake of humanity.
