Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) has announced that its undergraduate academic program will now begin on Monday, September 2. The start date has been postponed from the originally scheduled Sunday, August 25, due to the severe flooding affecting the country.
The decision to delay the start of classes was made during a meeting held on Sunday, August 25. The meeting included the Dean, Institute Director, Heads of Departments, and the Director of Student Welfare, and was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Machud. The delay aims to accommodate students impacted by the flood and ensure their safety and readiness for the academic year.
Shaheduzzaman Sheikh, Section Officer (Grade-1) of the Public Relations and Information Branch, confirmed the new start date to BanglaNews. He assured that the university is making all necessary preparations to ensure a smooth transition to the revised academic schedule.
KUET's administration will continue to monitor the flood situation and provide updates as necessary. Students are encouraged to stay in contact with university officials for the latest information and support.
This adjustment demonstrates KUET’s commitment to supporting its students during challenging times and ensuring a safe and organized start to the new academic year.
