KSRM, a leading steel construction industry has given oxygen to Satkania Upazila Health Center aiming to help easing medical care for Covid attected patients.

KSRM Media Advisor Mizanul Islam handed over these life-saving oxygen to Satkania Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Md Abdul Majid Osmani on behalf of KSRM at Satkania Upazila Health Complex on Sunday.

KSRM provides locals with 5 oxygen filling cylinders of 300 liters each for 60 liters for emergency treatment. Nalua Union Awami Vice President Azam Selim, Nalua Union Juba League President Zaheer Mintu, Nalua Union Awami Joint Secretary Abdul Aziz were present on the occasion.

Satkania Upazila Residential Health Officer Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Osmani said, "Everyone is appreciative of the donation made by the steel construction industry KSRM."  In the past too, the organization has stood by the people of the area in any need.  KSRM has come forward to save the lives of helpless people due to the changed situation during the coronation.

KSRM Media Advisor Mizanul Islam said that KSRM mainly produces suitable oxygen for use in factories.  But KSRM took the initiative to produce medical oxygen when there was an extreme oxygen crisis in the nation's disaster situation.  Oxygen is being supplied to various health centers across the country as part of social responsibility.

Oxygen has already been provided to several health centers including Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Chittagong General Hospital and BITID.  In that connection, KSRM is also trying to ensure that people in remote areas are not deprived of medical services in an emergency.

KSRM has an oxygen plant in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong.  The production capacity of that plant with 2 compressors is 1 thousand cubic meters per hour.
