The 3-day project display of “ KSRM Awards For Future Architects” programme ended here amid huge turnout and enthusiasm among concerned sector yesterday.
The display was held from December 25-December 27 at Institute Of Architects, Bangladesh (IAB) hall, Agargaon in the capital .The event is part of the programme “ KSRM Awards For Future Architects” to inspire the future architects of the country.
30 best projects of research papers by 10 academic institutions were exhibited at the event where students , guardians and new architects gathered in large numbers.
But the number of visitors was highest on Friday.
Recently, Country’s leading steel manufacturer KSRM and Institute of Architects, Bangladesh (IAB) signed a 10 yr MoU to introduce awards for future architects ‘KSRM AWARDS FOR FUTURE ARCHITECTS: Best undergraduate Thesis’ award.
Deputy Managing Director of KSRM Sarwar Jahan and President of IAB architect Jalal Ahmed signed the deal of behalf of their respective organization.
Under the programme, theses and projects of final year students of graduate level of architecture universities will get recognition and studio teachers and institutions will be honoured. There will be scope to submit as many as three projects from each university.
“We are amazed at the attendance of students and guardians in such large numbers”KSRM Deputy Managing Director Shariar Jahan said.
KSRM advisor (Sales and Marketing) Brigadier General (Rtd) Shahidur Rahman, Chief of Sales and Research, Colonel Ashfakul Islam, IAB Vice President, Architect Mamnun Morshed Chowdhury, KSRM Mass Media Advisor Mizanul Islam, IAB (Education) Architect M Arefin Ibrahim, Publicity and Publication secretary Architect Sheikh Itmam Soudh, KSRM Brand Dept. Asstt. Manager Ehsan Rahman, senior officer Abu Sufian and Sadh Hossain were among others present. on the occasion.
