Military Chief of Staff of Saudi Arabia Gen Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh General Aziz Ahmed at the Army Headquarters in the capital on Thursday. During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed the existing friendly relations between the army personnel of the two countries, said an ISPR press release.
Later, they signed an agreement on financial support of Saudi Arabia for the modernization and infrastructure development of Bangladesh Military Academy. The Bangladesh army chief handed over the “Bangladesh Army Friendship Medal” to the Saudi Arabian military chief on behalf of the Bangladesh government, it added. The Saudi Arabian army chief was presented with a “Guard of Honour” on the Army Multipurpose Complex compound at Dhaka Cantonment by a smartly turned out army contingent.
He planted a sapling in the Army Multipurpose Complex area. Gen Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili is scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia today.
