The Saudi Arabia government has extended visa for Bangladeshi expatriate workers till October 30.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen confirmed the development in a brief statement on Wednesday in a relief to the thousands of expatriates who are stuck due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier, the Saudi government extended the iqama and visa validity for Bangladeshi citizens several times at the request of the foreign ministry.
The workers have started to return to their workplaces after the beginning of flights. The oil-rich kingdom is the most popular destination for Bangladeshi workers. About 20 percent remittance came from the kingdom last year.
