Krishok League harvests farmer’s paddy in Thakurgaon

The leaders and activists of Krishok League in Thakurgaon district stood beside farmers by harvesting paddy at a time when agro-labour is scarce amid the COVID-19 outbreak, reports BSS. 

To relieve the farmers in this crisis, Thakurgaon Poura and Goreya Union Krishok League today joined hands with farmers and harvested their paddy.

In line with the directives of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and guidance of local parliamentary member Ramesh Chandra Sen, Krishok League Leaders-activists joined this voluntary work.

Over 100 leaders and activists of ruling party Awami League’s associate wing voluntarily harvested the paddy of farmer Rohul Amin at Gopalpur area under Goreya Union, led by Union Krishok League acting president Khademul Islam and Poura Krishok League Leader Asaduzzaman Asad.

Thakurgaon district Krishok League vice president Advocate Otul Ray, general secretary Pobarul Islam, Upazila Krishok League general secretary Ramjan Ali Khan, Balia Union Krishok League president Murad Hossain, among others, were also present during the paddy harvesting.
