Leaders and workers of Bangladesh Krishak league and Krishak league Netrakona district unit harvested ripened Boro paddy on one acre of land of a poor farmer at Gonesher Haor in Atpara upazila under Netrakona district on Monday.
They cut and threshed the paddy and reached those to the farmers's grain storage
The farmer namely Siddiqur Rahman of the Gonesher Haor expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Krishak league leaders and workers and also to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she directed them to help the farmers in paddy harvesting work.
Bangladesh Krishak league president Samir Chanda formally inaugurated the voluntary paddy harvesting festival there.
He said the Krishak league leaders and workers are helping the farmers in their paddy harvesting network at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"The present government under the dynamic leadership of PM Sheikh Hasina has already implemented many farmers-friendly programs to improve the socio - economic condition of the farmers and develop the agriculture sector," he added.
Bangladesh Krishak League central and district level leaders including Akber Ali Chowdhory, agriculturist Dr Nazrul Islam, Biswanath Sarker Bitu, Asaduzzaman Biplob, Mohammad Nazir Mia and Rezaul Karim Reza, among others, joined the paddy cutting festival.
