Wailing has been prevailing in the house of Kazi Mainul Alam Sohag, son of Kazi Khalilur Rahman of Bhutiargati village of Jhenidiah municipality when the body arrived at the house on Sunday noon from Kolkata in an ambulance. Family sources said, an area manager of the Grameen phone at Motojheel area of Dhaka, Sohag went to treat his eye complications at Apolo Hospitals in Kolkata. He was scheduled to return home by Sunday noon.
But a road accident at Shakespeare Sarani, had snatched away his life at about 11.30 PM on Saturday. The police in Kolkata had arrested the driver of the transport Jaguar Arsalan Parvez immeduately after the fatal accident. The family members had demanded exemplary punishment to the killer driver. They said Kazi Jihad, a paternal cousin of Sohag had received the body which enters into Bangladesh through Benapole land port.
After completion of some religious activities, the body of Sohag will be buried at their family grave yard in the village after Johr prayer, the family sources informed.
