Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has banned all types of fireworks, bursting crackers, flying sky lanterns and candle processions in the city for an indefinite period, a KMP press release said here Tuesday night.
This announcement was effective from Wednesday.
Marking the Happy Christmas on December 25 and 31st night (December 31), on the eve of English New Year-2024, the city residents will spontaneously participate in various joyous festivals in different areas of the city. But in the name of celebrating these joyous festivals, some rowdy people may indulge in such activities, said the press release.
