Superintendent of Police (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled said, Kishoreganj is a district of harmony. In this district Hindus and Muslims celebrate the festival in unison. There are some villains at all levels. They have a distorted mindset. The police are doing their duty to bring them under the law.

He made the remarks while addressing an exchange meeting on law and order on the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja at the conference room of the Police Super Office at noon on Wednesday (October 6).

He said that due to the relentless efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, every person in the country is celebrating the festivals in public. This is increasing harmony among people. This time Durga Puja will be held in 404 puja mandaps in Kishoreganj district. Of these, 91 are the most important puja mandaps, 155 are the important puja pandas and 158 are the general puja mandaps. The police are working hard to ensure that law and order does not deteriorate.

ASP Mostak Sarker, ASP Nura Alam, Anser & VDP District Commandant Mohammad Mustak Ahmed,  and others were also present.

Guidance on what to do during the Durga Puja of the autumn is shown through video content before the open discussion at the exchange meeting.
