A case has been filed in connection with the murder of college student Farhan Masud Vijay, 22 in Kishoreganj.
Vijay's father Abdur Rahman filed the case with Kishoreganj Model Police Station on Wednesday night. Nine people have been named in the case along with 15-20 unidentified people.
AKM Yakub Sumon, 40, councilor of Ward no 6 of Kishoreganj municipality has been made the chief accused in the case. Police arrested three people, including Councilor AKM Yakub Sumon and Monir, 22 son of late Idris Miah of Akhrabazar area of Kishoreganj town on Monday night, the day of the incident.
Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abu Bakar Siddique told that Farhan Masud Vijay's father Abdur Rahman had filed a case with the police station on Wednesday night.
Councilors AKM Yakub Sumon and Monir have been arrested among the accused in the case. Police are working to nab the other accused.
