Kings to stick to basics against SK Jamal

Title holders Bashundhara Kings will stick to the basics and not make too many changes to their tactics and game plans when they face Sheikh Jamal DC in the fourth round of the 10-team ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football at 2:45 p.m. at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium, Goplaganj on Friday. 

In days other match, Fortis FC will take on Rahmatganj MFS at Muktijuddho Smriti Stadium, Rajshahi at 2:45 p.m.

On completion of the third round matches, the Kings dominated the league table, securing full nine points from three outings, while Sheikh Jamal DC have three points from the same number of outings. The Yellow Fear is now in seventh place in the points table.  

Earlier, the four-time champions Kings outplayed Fortis by 3-1 goals. Three strikers Rimon Hossain, Rakib Hossain and Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes Nascimento scored for the team. 

Kings coach Oscar Bruzon and captain Robinho expects they will win the match and earn full three points. They hope the winning streak in the ongoing league. The Kings scored 12 and conceding four goals from three outings. 

On the other hand, Sheikh Jamal DC won one and lost two from the same number of encounters. The Yellow Fear lost to Sheikh Russel by 2-1 at Bashundhara Kings Arena Stadium on December 23, 2023. . They won over the services team Bangladesh Police by 1-0 at the Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium, Mymensingh on December 30, 2023. They suffered second defeat against six- time champions Dhaka Abahani by a solitary goal at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium on January 12.  

Meanwhile, RMFS and Fortis both are in the bottom in the points table. Though RMFS not lost any single matches so far, drew three matches, secured three points. Fortis also collected three points from three matches.
