Kings display real brand to down Baridhara by half a dozen goals

The reigning champions Bashundhara Kings appeared with their real character to demolish Uttar Baridhara by half a dozen goals in the TVS Bangaldesh Premier League football on Fridaday. 

Held at the Bashundhara Kings arena, three goals were scored in each session with Miguel Ferreira, Sohel Rana, Nuha Marong scored one each in the opening half, Towhidul Alam Sabuj, Sumon Reza netted one each and Baridhara defender Khokon scored an own goal at the late hour of the match.       

In the second phase, full three points from every match are valuable for all title aspirants and for Bashundhara Kings, who are a bit ahead to other conternders in the title race, its more essential for them to keep up the distance. The champions are doing the job successfully with gripping deserved six points from two matches after defeating Sawdhinota Krira Sangha and Uttar Bridhara in a row. 

Bashundhara Kings crossed the Swadhinota KS hurdle with 2-0 win in the first match of the second leg, to whom they suffered defeat in the first leg, outdo the Uttar Baridhara in the second match to have 6-0 victory.    

Kings’ 75% possession and at least six shots on target doesn't tell the full story of the first half match - particularly at the opening 25 minutes game when Uttar Baridha booters were desperate to simply keep the strong opponents at bay, they were in attacking approach and put Kings defense under trouble. 

Bruzon who told that his players are treating every game like a final right now, as this time the campaign for hat-trick championship for him.

However, on the day kings plan to overwhelm was obvious resulted from the real opportunities at the opening half an hour but there was a gentle concerning at Kings defense arena with some dominance reflected when Baridhara went closer to make upset but Jewel’s effort was denied by the cross piece. At the initial stage it looked Baridhara would fight neck to neck when they were playing some beautiful passing football and building up quick and strong counter attacks and drew the first blood. 

Baridhara could stun the Kings on 15th minutes but Samin Yasar Jewel could not net the ball when his shot hit the cross piece. Jewel who looked a danger to break the defense line very often, after a receiving long ball on 15th minute rushed into penalty area and edged past the defenders and the goalkeeper but his efforts returned after hitting the cross piece. 

Bashundhara, after getting rid of some startling pressure from Baridhara sides, went closer to have the lead on 20th minute but their Gambian national booter’s Nuhan Marong effort hit the side post and it was the first real chance came to Kings’ way. 

Bashundhara opened the account on 20th minute through their Brazilian forward Miguel Ferreira, who struck twice in his debut match against Sawdhinota KS, kept his cool to placing a cross of Yasin Arafat (1-0). Miguel had to leave the ground after having an injury immediate after scoring the goal but five more goals were scored in absence of the key striker.

Sohel Rana doubled the lead right on half and an mark of the game when Robson Robinho superbly dribbled past some three of his markers inside the area befor to cut back for unmarked Sohel Rana, who pushed the ball into near post (2-0). 

The Spanish born Gambian, Nuhan, who gave missing trial in his debut match against Swadhinota KS, found the net on 38th minute in his second attempt when he headed home a Masuk Meah Jony cross (3-0). 

Trailing by 3-0 goals, Baridhara could not bounce back to make strong safeguard but only to stop Bashundhara on 3-0 up to 86th minute, as they conceded three goals in the last six minutes. 

Towhidul Alam Sbabuj and Sumon Reza added one goal each when another one came from an own goal from defender Kohkon (6-0).
