The Bangladesh Kindergarten Association, Sylhet Centre-2, recently organised the 2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony.
The event’s chief guest was Professor Chowdhury Mamun Akbar, Secretary of the Sylhet Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
In his speech, he emphasised the importance of moral education, urging teachers and parents to lead by example. He also advised parents to keep young children away from mobile devices, stating that excessive use can harm their mental and physical health.
Dr Abdul Majed, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee, attended as the main speaker. The ceremony also featured Kazi Mohammad Zafar, Assistant Upazila Education Officer (Sylhet Sadar), as the special guest, alongside other distinguished guests including Abul Khair, Asaduzzaman Ripon, Mosharraf Hossain, Kabir Ahmad, Majedur Rahman Humayun, and Bilquis Begum.
Mostafizur Rahman, former Organising Secretary of the Sylhet unit, delivered the welcome speech. The event was chaired by Ruhul Amin, former Senior Vice President.
The programme was hosted by Sajidur Rahman Murad and Rekha Rani, with the presence of several former committee members and local education leaders.
