Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Tuesday said the fugitive killers of four national leaders will be brought back home.

He also vowed to execute the killers after bringing back them home.

“The verdict in the case of killing four national leaders was executed partially.  The work to bring back the fugitive convicts is underway,” the minister said.

The fugitive killers will be brought back one by one and be executed, he added.

The home minister made these remarks while visiting the killing spot of four national leaders at the Old Dhaka Central Jail at Najim Uddin Road in the capital marking the Jail Killing Day.

He further said, “There were not only some misguided army personnel behind the assassination of the four national leaders, there was also a big conspiracy. Identities of those involved in the conspiracy will be exposed.”

Four national leaders and heroes of the country’s Liberation War -- Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmad, Captain Mansur Ali and AHM Quamruzzaman -- were assassinated inside the Dhaka Central Jail on November 3 in 1975.
