Warm cloths distribution program under the auspices of Tara Debi Foundation was inaugurated by Mainul Hoque, DIG of Khulna Rang of Bangladesh Police on December 26 for meeting up the cold wave of poor people in Chuadanga.
According to sources, heavy cold wave has been prevailing in Chuadanga during the last few weeks. So marginal people of the areas have been suffering from cold wave even different cold related diseases. To meeting up the cold wave Tara Debi Foundation distributed 2000 blankets among the poor people on the premises of Panna Cinema Hall in the district town on the day.
On the occasion a discussion meeting was held there. The meeting was presided over by Dilip Kumar Agarwala, Chairman of Tara Debi Foundation and Diamond World while Mainul Hoque, DIG of Khulna Rang of Bangladesh Police was present as chief guest. It was addressed by Abdullah Al Mamun, SP of Chuadanga, Saiyeduzzaman Torik, President of Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Asad Mamun, General Secretary of Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and Rajib Hasan Kuchi, General Secretary of Chuadanga Press Club. The program was conducted by Nazmul Hoque Swapon, Editor of Dainik Somyer Somikoron.
The sources added, the warm cloths distribution will continue by the month of January-2023 among the distressed people to go at different villages of the district by the personnel of Tara Debi Foundation.
