Khulna children not lagging behind in education

Even though the school is closed, the education of children is not lagging behind in Khulna. Due to the goodwill, sincerity and love of the teachers towards the students, it is becoming possible to conduct teaching and learning activities by overcoming all the limitations of the coronavirus period.

Students are studying well online or at home on mobile phones under the guidance of teachers. Weak students in remote areas are not far behind.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain said this while addressing an online exchange meeting with the teachers (part) of DumuriaUpazila Primary School organized by Khulna District Primary Education Department on Sunday morning. 481 people including government officials and teachers participated in the meeting held through online zoom technology. The meeting was organized by the district primary education department to compensate for the loss of education during the corona period.

During the meeting it was informed that lessons are being reviewed on a weekly basis as part of regular activities for primary school students affected by coronavirus, teaching through YouTube-Parliament TV-radio FM broadcast, one-day one-word activities are underway.

Teachers are teaching students through mobile phones and checking the progress of lessons. Every student of many primary schools in Dumuriaupazila has been called on mobile phone more than 42 times and all activities are being stored in the registrar. Students who could not be reached on their mobile phones were given lessons at home.

At this time, the participants emphasized on bringing all the students under communication and increasing the awareness of the parents. The district primary education officer instructed the teachers in the meeting to conduct co-educational activities including songs, poems and rhymes to keep the interest and morale of the students.

DumuriaUpazilaNirbahi Officer Shahnaz Begum was the special guest at the meeting chaired by Khulna District Primary Education Officer ASM Sirajuddoha.
