Khan Iqbal Hossain has joined Sonali Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director (DMD), effective 15 July 2025.
His appointment follows a circular issued by the Financial Institutions Division on 14 July.
Prior to this role, Hossain served as DMD at both Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Rupali Bank PLC. With a banking career spanning over 27 years, he brings extensive experience in branch and corporate banking, credit operations, risk management, HR, and recovery services.
He began his career in 1998 as a Senior Officer at Rupali Bank and went on to hold a range of leadership roles across departments.
Hossain holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Political Science from the University of Dhaka.
