Khalilur Rahman, a renowned industrialist and chairman of KDS Group, has been elected as the new president of Bangladesh Inland Container Depot Association (BICDA).
He was elected to this position with the unanimous support of the members at the general meeting of BICDA last Wednesday.
Khalilur Rahman replaces outgoing president Nurul Qayyum Khan. The new president of BICDA, Khalilur Rahman, is the chairman of Inland Container Depot KDS Logistics Limited.
It is known that Nurul Qayyum Khan, chairman of QNS Container Services Limited, served as the president of BICDA for about 15 years. Before that, he also served as the general secretary of the Private Inland Container Depot Owners Association (PICDA).
Secretary General of the organization Md. Ruhul Amin Sikder Biplob said that Nurul Qayyum Khan resigned from the post of president on June 15 due to physical illness.
Then, as per the rules of the organization, the name of the new president was finalized at the general meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by leaders of the country's top ICD organizations, including -
