Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is in jail because of her party’s inability to take effective political decisions, reports BSS.
“Khaled Zia is in jail because of the wrong political strategy of her party . . . the government has nothing to do with it,” Hanif said while talking to journalists before joining a discussion and certificate giving ceremony of a technical training workshop arranged by Kushtia Technical Training Center (TTC). Replying to a question about the illegal casino business, Hanif said such illegal business was carried out in clubs, not in any political party’s office. So, political party has no connection with it, he added.
AKM Sarwar Jahan Badsha, district AL president Alhaj Sadar Uddin Khan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Aslam Hossain were present at the programme, among others.
