Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi and the President of Rajshahi Divisional Minority Ethnic Cultural Academy launched the keyboard for the mother language of the Paharia ethnic group at the auditorium of the academy on Saturday.
After the launch, Divisional Commissioner Dr Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir said language plays a significant role in establishing man's relationship with nature. He said only for language, man is specially signified by other animals. The language has an intimate relationship with technology and nature. That is why a nation that knows more languages is more developed in information and knowledge.
Benjamin Tudu, Deputy Director of Rajshahi Divisional Minority Ethnic Cultural Academy presided over the function and delivered the welcome speech. Moderated by Manuel Soren, Instructor of the Cultural Academy the function was addressed, among others by the editor of local Bangla daily Akbarul Hasan Millat, member of the executive committee of the academy Mrs Shelly Pricilla Biswas, indigenous language technologist Samar Michael Soren, assistant priest of Nobai Bot tola Dharma Palli Father Arturo Spegially Pime, executive director of Paharia Parishad Avilash Biswas and indigenous language expert Mridul Sangma.
