KCC mayor distributes cash among 105 impoverished people

Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque distributed TK 2,62,500 in cash among 105 destitute, marginal poor and day labourers for mitigating sufferings , caused by the COVID -19 pandemic.

Khulna Muktiseba Sangstha (KMSS), a non government organisation, organised the distribution programme at the conference room of 30 number ward councillor of KCC on Monday. 

Councillor SM Mozaffar Rashidi Reza presided over the function while Executive Director of KMSS Afroza Akter, among others, attended it.

Talukder Abdul Khaleque said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has tirelessly working for reaching foodstuff, relief and others government aids to the poor and destitute people to mitigate their hardship in the wake of on going coronavirus outbreak as well as worst flood situation .

“The present government has also come up with various allowances for physically challenged, widows , elderly people , , freedom fighters, VGD and VGF card holders “ to help the poor to become self-reliant despite limited resources.

Later, the Mayor distributed TK 2,500 among 105 marginal poor each , destitute and day labourer.
