Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque said taht Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was always vocal in realizing the demands of Bengalis.
For him, Bangladesh has become an independent state. The city mayor said this while inaugurating the newly constructed Chiranjeev Mujib Mural on the occasion of Mujib Year at a cost of around Tk 5 lakh at Khulna Medical College premises on Thursday morning.
He said a concerted effort should be made to inspire the next generation of the country with the spirit of liberation war and the ideals of Bangabandhu. As long as Bangladesh exists, no one will be able to erase Bangabandhu's name from the hearts of Bengalis. Mayor urged everyone to plant three trees each in this Mujib year.
