JVBS's aim is to ensure quality education

With an aim to ensure quality education and building future leadership for the country, Jaflong Valley Boarding School (JVBS) celebrated its 1st founding anniversary on October 17 at the La-Vita Hall of Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan. 

Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, lawmaker from Sylhet-5 constituency, was the chief guest of this magnificent programme. 

In his speech, Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder said, “Country’s biggest residential school ‘JVBS’ was established to ensure quality education to the students and make future leadership for the country. The school was  built on 150 acres of land in Sylhet with a unique philosophy of ‘Home Away from Home’. This is the largest boarding school in South Asia.”

He also said, “The students of the institute are getting the opportunity to study, living close to nature. The modern academic, administrative buildings and hostels of the school built on the hills without harming the nature.”

AK Azad, managing director of Ha-meem Group, presided over the programme..

He said, “Many of our students go to abroad to acquire quality education. We hope that students from abroad will admit in our school in future. This school is maintaining international standard and making leadership.”

The glamorous programme began with the welcome speech by the school’s renowned Indian educationalist and school Principal Brij Kishore Bharadwaj. He underlined the vision and mission of the school governing body’s founding members.

The principal’s speech was followed by a short video clip highlighting the school academic routine, pastoral facilities, the faculty profile, student accommodations and their beautiful School premises, located at Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet. 

The students of JVBS gave a thrilling musical performance. Some parents also shared their personal experiences about JVBS. 

Among others, Imran Ahmed, Minister of Expatriates welfare and overseas employment, Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director of Square Group, AR Sinha, Chairman and Managing Director of Opex group, Abdul MatinChuwdhury, Managing Director of Knit Asia, Md Ismail Hossain, Chairman of Sharmin Group, also spoke.
