JUST achieves massive success in research

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has achieved appreciable success in the field of research. The university has been completely different in the research when all educational institutions were closed and educational activities were hampered due to Covid-19 situation.  

Compared to the previous year, the new university of Bangladesh has shown enviable success in research field in 2020.  

Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) was at the forefront of the growth rate of the number of published researches in 2020 among the universities of Bangladesh, said sources of the university. 

Even in Covid-19 time, the growth rate of research in the university was 42 percent more. Bangladesh Agricultural University (35 percent) is in the second position and Jahangirnagar University (31 percent) is in the third position. 

“The contribution of the students and teachers of our university in research in 2020 is really commendable. I sincerely thank my students and teachers as well as the researchers for the achievement,” said JUST Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Anower Hossen.

Among the institutes which have published at least 200 research papers, Dhaka University is in the first place (754 articles) and Jashore University of Science and Technology is in the 13th place (214 articles). Khulna University of Science and Technology has been placed in the 14th position as the number of research articles published by this university has decreased from 308 to 59 percent in 2019 to 114.

Among the universities of science and technology, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is in the first position and JUST is in the second position.
