The Jahangirnagar University Press Club (JUPC) celebrated its 9th founding anniversary on Thursday.
On the occasion, a discussion was arranged at JUPC office on the campus in a limited scale due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prof Bashir Ahmed of Government and Politics department addressed the discussion as a focal person while Prof Abdullah Hel Kafi of International Relations department, Prof Kabirul Bashar of Zoology department, Prof Alamgir Kabir of Statistics department and director of JU TSC spoke as special guests. JUPC president Md Musa presided over the programme.
Later, a cake was cut at JUPC office.
Praising the important role of campus reporters, Prof Bashir said, ‘JUPC has entered its 10th year after overcoming many obstacles. They are continuing objective journalism by providing constructive criticism and positive news. It's been working to uphold the university's reputation. Hope they will continue the trend.’
It’s mentionable that JUPC was established on January 21 in 2012 holding the spirit of the great Liberation War.
