The 'July Memorial Cricket Tournament 2025' was inaugurated at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) in commemoration of the glorious resistance and one year of youth and paying deep tribute to the martyrs of student uprising.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the said cricket tournament organized on the university campus on July 16.
One Health Institute Director Professor Dr. Md. Ahsanul Haque, Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam, Proctor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Director (PRTC) Professor Dr. AKM Humayun Kabir, Provost of Freedom Fighter Abdullah Al Noman Hall Professor Dr. Shamsul Morshed and Director (Physical Education) Md. Mojibur Rahman were present as special guests.
Cvasu Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman said, 'Organizing a free, fair and participatory election to exercise the democratic rights of the people of the country is the need of the hour.'
He urged the students to dedicate themselves to serving the country through honesty, courage and constructive activities.
CVASU Director (Student Welfare) Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam in his speech highlighted the importance of developing ethics, leadership and patriotism among the students and urged them to play an active role in building a beautiful Bangladesh.
A total of 8 teams are participating in the ‘July Memorial Cricket Tournament 2025’. Each team has 13 players and a total of 104 students are participating. The final match of this vibrant cricket festival will be held on August 7.
