Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor and former Organizing Secretary of BNP Central Committee Dr Shahadat Hossain said, the July-August Uprising was an unforgettable chapter in the history of restoring democracy in this country. On that day, the July warriors sacrificed their lives for the rights and future of the people of the country with their blood. The dream of the martyrs was a discrimination-free, terrorism-free, democratic Bangladesh. BNP is determined to realize that dream under the visionary leadership of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. BNP will stand by the martyrs' families through recognition of the martyrs and achieving state dignity.
“The July martyrs will live in our hearts forever. The blood of the martyrs is not just a part of memory, it is our political responsibility. The Bangladesh of the future will be a new Bangladesh free of terrorism and discrimination. We will move forward with this commitment” he said.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting titled "Mass Uprising 2024: National Unity and Democratic Movement" organized by the Bangladesh Canadian Community Center in Toronto on Sunday.

Reforms and laws are formulated through continuous discussions in the National Parliament. BNP, elected by the people's votes, will reform the country. BNP gave a program to repair the state during the previous fascist Awami government. Many reforms have been carried out in the country under the BNP. Our leader Ziaur Rahman declared the war of independence.
He established multi-party democracy. The parliamentary government and caretaker government after 90 were introduced through BNP. Democracy returned under the leadership of Tarique Rahman. Will come.
He said, no matter how many conspiracies there are against BNP, no one has benefited. BNP is moving forward with the ideology of Shaheed Zia. BNP is moving forward with the flag of Shaheed Zia.
