Miscreants shot dead a Juba League activist by entering his house in Bandarban Hill District. The incident took place at around 7.30 pm in Baghmara Bazar area of Rajbila union of Sadar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Mansiu Marma, 40, an activist of Rajbila Union Juba League. Rajbila Union Parishad chairman Kya Aung Pru Marma said after entering the house, miscreants shot Marma three times in a row.
Bandarban Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam Chowdhury said Marma was killed on the spot. The motive for the killings was not clear initially.
