Juairiya Ferdous, student of the Mass Comunications and Journalism won the champios trophy in the Inter-hall Annual Sports of Shamsun Nahar Hall of Dhaka University.
Nilufa Yasmin, student of History Department became runners up in competition. Meanhwile, students and tachers participated in the 24 desciplines of the Annual Sports of the Inter-hall sports competition.
Pro-vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Samad inaugurated the competition as chief guest at the Unversity central playground on Monday when Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, treasurer of the university distributed prizes among the winners on same day.
Presided over by Latifa Jamal, Provost of the Shamsun Nahar Hall, Professor Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury, president of the Athletics committee of Dhaka University, Professor Dr Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan, president of the Dhaka University Teachers’ Association, m Shahjahan Ali, director-in-charge of the Physical Institute of DU were present among others in the opening ceremony.
