Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Prof Dr. Farzana Islam greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for receiving 'Vaccine Hero' Award following Bangladesh’s outstanding success in vaccination to immunise children.
In a congratulation message issued on Tuesday, JU VC said, “This award is the recognition of Bangladesh’ success in health sector. It will enhance the pride of Bangladesh worldwide.” The Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunisations (GAVI) board president Engoi Akonjo Iblia and Seth Franklin Berkley, the company’s CEO, conferred the award upon the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday evening at a ceremony at the Conference Room 1 of the UN Headquarters in recognition of Bangladesh’s political leadership in the field of immunization.
