Jahangirnagar University (JU) has opened a control room to assist students in returning to campus safely after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. The university authorities made this arrangement as part of their regular initiative to ensure a smooth and secure return for students following long vacations.
The university will officially reopen its administrative offices on June 15, while academic activities, including classes and examinations, will resume on June 16. Many students have already started coming back to the campus ahead of the official reopening.
The control room will remain active to provide any necessary support and emergency assistance to students during this period. Students have been requested to contact the control room for any help at 01765333958.
For security reasons, the university administration has advised students to use the Prantik Gate, Main Gate, or MCH Gate when entering the campus. To ensure safety, security guards, Ansar members, and police personnel have been deployed at the campus gates. Additional Ansar members will be stationed on the footbridges during nighttime.
Meanwhile, highway police will continue their patrols along the nearby highways to prevent any untoward incidents and assist students traveling back to the university.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan has sought the sincere cooperation of all concerned to help students return to the campus smoothly and safely. He also thanked the administration, security forces, and students for maintaining discipline and security during the Eid holidays.
The control room service will remain active until all students have safely returned to the campus.
