Jahangirnagar University’s Institute of Business Administration (IBA) organised its annual research project seminar on Wednesday. The event took place at the seminar room of the institute around 2:00 pm.
Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest. In his speech, he praised IBA for its continuous contribution to raising the standard of education and research at the university.
He said, “IBA has worked remarkably in taking Jahangirnagar University’s academic and research reputation to a new height. The present administration is sincerely working to improve facilities for teachers so that research activities can be developed further.”
He also mentioned that several Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreements are in the process of being signed with different universities at home and abroad. These agreements will open opportunities for research collaboration and academic exchange programmes, which will benefit both teachers and students of the university.
IBA-JU Director Professor Dr Ireen Akhter presided over the seminar. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Sohel Ahmed was present as the special guest.
In the seminar, students of the BBA final year presented their research projects on various contemporary business issues, economic trends, and management strategies. The presented topics focused on current business challenges in Bangladesh and the global market.
Teachers, students, and officials of the institute attended the event. Speakers at the seminar appreciated the students’ research works and encouraged them to continue contributing to the field of business education and research.
The day-long seminar aimed to create a platform for students to showcase their research findings and share ideas with academic experts, opening scope for future improvement and collaboration.
