Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have decided to reopen the dormitories on October 11 and resume the academic activities from October 21.
The decision was taken from a syndicate meeting on Saturday evening with JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam in the chair, confirmed JU treasurer and syndicate member Prof Rasheda Akhter.
“The decision was taken in the syndicate considering the betterment of the students,” said Prof Akhter.
Earlier, on Saturday noon a conference was held at the Senate hall of the administration building between the journalist, cultural and political leaders and the provost committee where the leaders demanded to reopen campus by October 5.
