The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on Sunday reconstituted two Parliamentary Standing Committees on two different ministries. Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury, on behalf of Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, proposed the reconstitution. Later, the proposals were adopted by voice votes with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair. Awami League (AL) Member of Parliament (MP) Advocate Quamrul Islam of Dhaka-2 was made the Chairman of the Ministry of Agriculture while another ruling party lawmaker Nurul Islam Nahid of Sylhet-6 was also made Chairman of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. The other members of the parliamentary body of the agriculture ministry are Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque, Imaz Uddin Pramanik, Moslem Uddin, Omor Faruque Chowhduy, Mamunur Rashid Kiron, Anwarul Abedin Khan, Begum Joya Sen Gupta, Umme Kulsum Smriti and Begum Hosneara. The other member of the parliamentary body on the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives are LGRD Minister Mohammad Tazul Islam, its State minister Shawpan Bhattachaya, Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Sheikh Afil Uddin, Begum Rebeka Momen, Razee Mohammad Fakhrul, Shahe Alam, Sanwar Hossain and Abdus Salam Murshedy.
