Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Tuesday said the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) medical center was ready to provide medical treatment to dengue patients.
“Medical center of the JS is ready for dengue patients and it would continue its service during Eid holidays…A total of 100 dengue screening kits have been collected for the center,” she said.
She was speaking as chief guest at a dengue prevention programme organized by Parliament Members’ Club, said a press release.
She also urged all parliament members to take necessary steps to prevent dengue virus from spreading to their constituencies.
JS Chief Whip and president of the club Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury presided over the programme.
Chairman of Standing Committee on Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and general secretary of the club ABM Tajul Islam, Whip Atiur Rahman Atik and Whip Iqbalur Rahim were present, among others.
