The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Wednesday agreed to hold discussions on the 'Anti-Discrimination Bill-2023' alongside providing a report to this end in its next parliamentary meeting.
The parliamentary watchdog decided it unanimously at the 34th meeting of the committee at the JatiyaSangsad (JS) Bhaban with committee chairman M ShahiduzzamanSarker in the chair, said a press release.
Committee members Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister AnisulHuq, Md Abdul Majid Khan, Gloria JharnaSarker and KhodezaNasrin Akhter attended the meeting. Concerned senior officials of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry and the JatiyaSangsad Secretariat were present at the meeting, among others.
