The 23rd meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence Ministry today asked Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) to focus on research of blue economy.
Committee chairman Mohammad Shubid Ali Bhuiyan presided over the meeting at the JatiyaSangsadBhaban, said a press release. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister AnisulHuq was present at the meeting on the special invitation of the defence ministry.
The committee showed the running important activities of the ministry through power point presentation. It discussed overall activities of the ministry, different agencies and offices under the ministry, trainings, future plans and success of the ministry.
Committee members Muhammad Faruk Khan, M Elius Uddin Mollah, M Motahar Hossain, M Mahibur Rahman and NaheedEzaher Khan and concerned officials of the ministry, JS secretariat and armed forces division were present in the meeting.
