Ishwardi upazila administration on Saturday arranged a joyous procession and development fair on the occasion of Bangladesh being upgraded from least developed country. A day-long programme was arranged to celebrate the occasion.
The joyous procession was stated at 10am on Upazila Parishad premises. Later, a discussion was held at upazila auditorium. Pabna-4 MP Nuruzzaman Biswas spoke as the chief guest at the programme.
The programme was presided over by Ishwardi UNO Imrul Kayes. Upazila chairman Nayeb Ali Bishwas also spoke at the programme as special guest.
Director General of Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute Dr Amjad Hossaim, Upazila Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Atia Ferdous Kakoli, Agricultural Officer Abdul Latif and Education Officer Selim Akhter also spoke at the meeting.
