Like other ports of the country, the Joynagar Customs Check Post at Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga district remained eerily quiet and empty during the ongoing nationwide shutdown to check the spread of coronavirus.
The government banned to go and to come between India and Bangladesh from March 22. After this declaration, none of Indian or Bangladeshi entered both the countries up to date.
This correspondent of Bangladesh Post visited the area and saw that there were none except BGB men. The Joynagar Customs Check Post is being seen as a desert over outbreak of coronavirus disease. Before banning entrancing the check post was over crowded with travellers of both countries. No travellers are seen at Custom Check Post and on the road of Joynagar-Gede.
