Journalists formed a human chain in Thakurgaon demanding repeal of the Digital Security Act and release of the journalists arrested under the ‘draconian’ law.
Nearly 50 journalists gathered on the four-road intersection in the district down and staged demonstration holding festoons and placards, pressing for their demand.
At the human chain, they demanded immediate withdrawal cases filed against cartoonist Kishore and journalists Kajol and writer Monstak Dibarul. Local journalists and cultural activists participated in the protest.
