Journo Kashi Kumar Das gets Human Rights award

Journalist, writer and playwright Kashi Kumar Das Jhantu received a human rights award on the occasion of the celebration of International Human Rights Day-2020. He received the award on Friday.

Manoranjan Shil Gopal, MP from Dinajpur-1 constituency, handed over the award as the chief guest at a ceremony organised by Dinjpur committee of Youth for Human Rights International Foundation, Bangladesh under the management of Community Development Center (CDC), Dinajpur.

Welcoming remarks were made by organisation’s district committee General Secretary Md. Ekramul Haque while prominent writer and columnists Masud Mostafiz, Municipal Councilor Md Anwar Hossain Sarkar and writer and columnist Navnita Rumu Siddique spoke as special guests.

Speaking as the chief guest, Manoranjan Sheel Gopal said those who are contributing to the society for the protection of human rights should be evaluated, so that they can play a more supportive role in the protection of human rights in society. 

He congratulated Kashi Kumar Das Jhantu for achieving the award.
