Mohammad Georges Anwar Naeem, a first-year student of Drama Department of Jagannath University, won a gold medal in the 67 kg category in the 26th National Karate Competition on Mujib Year.
The 26th National Karate Competition was organized by Bangladesh Karate Federation on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary was held at Mirpur Indoor Stadium from December 10-12. A total of 74 teams from all over the country participated in it. “It is a great pleasure for our department to win the gold medal,” said an elated Naeem.
The achievement will inspire other students and winning student will be given a reception after the situations become normal, said Professor Shams Shahriar, chairman of Drama department.
